Transforming the commercial heart of Blackrock Village.
The project involved the construction of a new 3 storey 12,000m2 extension and refurbishment of the existing centre. Works included construction of a new basement carpark, a feature mall & atrium, retail units , extensions to the North East (Frascati Road) and several new smaller units including restaurants in addition to considerable drainage diversions and external landscaping and new paths and pavings. Works took place in a live operational shopping centre.

Frascati Shopping Centre was awarded Retail Project of the Year at the 2020 Irish Construction Industry Awards. This highly complex and exciting retail project involved the construction of a new two storey carpark and the new shopping centre building itself that wraps around the old existing shopping centre. The structure of the shopping centre building was structural steel with metal decking flooring whilst the car park structure was made up of RC insitu columns and beams with pre-cast panel infills that spanned 16m. The external envelope was a combination of precast reconstituted stone panels, rainscreen cladding and curtain walling.
